It features a 8"x3" billet top wheel and 6- 3"x3" lower billet wheels which graduate from a flat to a full radius in 6 steps. All wheels are made from 4140 billet stock and then heat treated for hardness. They ride on sealed ball bearings, the axels are hardened tool steel.  The lower yoke features height adjusters for "leveling" and brass axel rests that are replaceable. This English wheel features top and bottom cradles that rotate 90 degrees for wheeling very heavy stock, you can rotate the wheels inward to prevent side slip which is a common problem on these types of machines. It keeps the machine as rigid as possible for a uniform work piece finish.
